Nick Aldewereld
“I deliver technology that works when someone comes to check.”
I help organisations of 50 to 250 employees meet Europe's cyber legislation — not on paper, but in working systems. That usually means: finding out what's genuinely expected of you, putting the measures in place, and making sure you can demonstrate that they work. More than 25 years in the field, most of it recently focused on exactly this.
Most advisers stop at the advice and refer you on to someone who has to build it. I build it myself, and I run it myself. My own company runs on the same infrastructure I recommend to you — my own hardware, my own rack, in a data centre. What I recommend to you, I have tried on myself first.
Whether it's access management, backup and recovery, or making what you've already arranged demonstrable — I deliver technology that works, and I can show you why it works.

What I've built
Building isn't something I do alongside client work — it's how I work. A training platform on European cyber legislation, a content management system that grew out of client work, and the sovereign infrastructure my own company runs on: all built and run by me. That work is public and can be checked.

Personal
Father of two, based in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. When I'm not working with technology, you'll find me on the sports field or behind the stove.
References
My clients work under confidentiality, so I don't name names. Instead, you can judge my work for yourself: platforms running live, readable code, and a published security analysis. In a conversation I'm happy to tell you more about the assignments themselves.
Training is an exception to that confidentiality: I have delivered it for Stichting Make IT Here (38 statushouders — refugees with residence status), Techgrounds, DSW, Learnit and Samsung.
